Building works - May 2024 Update
Q: When will work at 94 and 96 De Beauvoir Road be starting?
A: We anticipate work will commence on Monday 3rd June 2024 and will continue for approximately ten months. However, this may be subject to change.
Q: How long do you anticipate work will last for?
A: Work is expected to last for ten months, with completion in spring 2025. However, this is subject to change.
Q: What time will work start and finish?
A: Work will start at 8am and finish at 4pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am to 1pm on Saturday.
Q: Will there be work happening on the weekend?
A: The contractors will be working from 8am until 1pm on Saturdays. There will be no work on Sundays.
Q: Will work be happening on Bank Holidays?
A: There will be no work on Bank Holiday weekends.
Q: Is there a full programme of work?
A: Yes, you can request to see the full programme of work by contacting info@debeauvoirblock.com.
Q: How can we be updated on the progress of work?
A: There is a monthly Build Update which De Beauvoir Block tenants can sign up to, here: http://eepurl.com/dtznsL or by scanning the QR code below with your mobile phone.
Emails will be sent from info@debeauvoirblock.com. Please keep an eye on your junk folders.
Q: How will you manage dust mitigation and noise disruption?
A: We are not anticipating there to be a high level of dust, but we will be working closely with the contractors to ensure that dust mitigation is put in place.
Understandably, there will be some noise disruption during this period, initially with the erection of scaffolding.
Q: What measures will be put in place for tenants during the warmer months if windows cannot be opened due to the work?
A: We are looking into sourcing air conditioning units and fans for all affected office units, as well as installing solar blinds to help maintain a cool working environment during the summer months.
All tenants will be updated on these procedures in due course.
Q: Can I still use the Block facilities, such as the café and meeting room?
A: Yes, all facilities in the Block will be available as usual.
All tenants and members will continue to have access to the reception, café, meeting room, co-working spaces and delivery lock-ups.
Access into the Block will be unaffected.

Frequently asked questions
Your Membership will begin on the date you sign up and will be billed monthly. The first month will be proportioned accordingly, depending on the day you start. You will then be billed on the 1st of each month.
This applies to the Café, Studio and Dedicated Memberships.
DO YOU NEED A DEPOSIT?
Due to the flexible nature of De Beauvoir Block, we do not require deposits of any kind. We want to give every business the best possible opportunity to get involved!
WHAT ARE THE BUILDING HOURS?
The onsite Café/Bar will be open 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
The onsite Reception will be open 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
For Café Members, your location is accessible during Reception opening hour times.
For Studio and Dedicated Members, your location is accessible by key card 24/7
CAN I COME AND HAVE A LOOK BEFORE COMMITTING?
Visits or tours will need to be booked in advance so just give us a call on 020 3910 7740 or email us at info@debeauvoirblock.com to schedule it in!
DO YOU HAVE A PET POLICY?
For private offices our pet policy is relaxed, however for all Membership types, pets are not allowed unfortunately.
You can book the Block meeting room via the online portal or by calling the Block manager on 020 3910 7740. We will require 24 hour notice before any booking and will be based on a first-come first-served policy. The charge for the meeting room will be £20 per hour.
If guests are coming from outside De Beauvoir Block, they are required to sign in at Reception and wait here until they are collected and taken into the Meeting Room
You will also have the ability to order food and drinks to your meeting at a time to suit.
CAN I GET A PHONE LINE FOR MY DESK?
Unfortunately we won’t be able to offer you a landline phone with your desk. The offering is more geared to small businesses/freelancers who work off a mobile phone.
HOW DO I CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP?
If you wish to leave you can do at any time by giving us up to one months’ notice. All you have to do is send an email to info@debeauvoirblock.com stating when you wish to activate the months’ notice. The end date of your membership will be at the end of the month you serve us notice. For example, if you serve notice on the 7th of June, the last payable day of your membership would be the 30th of June.
HOW DOES PRINTING WORK?
Studio and Dedicated members will benefit from having a printer within their area. Printing costs are applicable. Café members do not have printing facilities.
GUESTS
Members are allowed to bring in up to 2 guests at a time. If a member requires more for any particular reason it will need to be agreed by De Beauvoir Block beforehand. If we feel a guest is coming to site regularly and taking advantage of our guest policy, we reserve the right to refuse entry.
